1980 Gibson Sonex

    I tend to like the "road less travelled", especially "underdog" models by famous brands.

    There's a lot to be said for that - there are many very good instruments out there that were not the most popular, most mainstream instruments when they were made. Many of these now are worth less then the parts mounted to them. Others, maybe just broken and banged up so much that they become orphans that nobody wants, yet potentially very good and unique for what they are. That's how I acquired a few of mine.

    When I was 15 and stupid (many decades ago, I'm still stupid), I wanted a "Gibson". I saw an L-6S before I bought the Sonex. The L6S is my "one that got away". I'd love one.
