    Hey all

I'm working on an obscure '60s Japanese guitar with these pot values. It has some sort of single coil pickups. Any idea why they may have chosen to use these values?

I assume the pickup output has a really sharp peak and they used a lower resistance volume pot to flatten it out a bit.

My Danelectro has 100k volume and 1M tone pots.

    Thanks.

The volume pot is shot. In order to use the stock knobs I need to get a metric pot one with coarse splines, which isn't available in 100k. If it sounds to bright I think I can parallel in a fixed resister to make it work like 100k pot.

Actually, I don't think it is Japanese. It's a Holiday, which I think was made by Harmony in Chicago.
