Grabbed this off Facebook marketplace this morning. And I’m going to steal the tremolo and put it on my daughters partscaster to see if I can finally make it playable.

HN(Parts)GD! Sick score. Looks older, is it one of their US made ones?

After thinking about it I’m just going to take the neck off of this and put it on my daughters parts caster, then take the neck off of it and put it on this body. I think the neck pocket in the parts caster is a little off because I’ve had a number of necks on it over the years and just could never get the action right.

HNHD!!! I snagged a Vietamese made one a couple of months back for £15. I love it, give it a play for a while before you part it out, she may just surprise you!!!

$10 electrics. That’s it. I’m moving to Indy. Where’s the Vonnegut museum?

Peavey Raptor I's are some of the best playing and feeling guitars I'v run into I would play it a while before parting it out. The partscaster would have to be way, way beyond fantastic to even consider parting out a Raptor I. Good luck.

Not sure what model it is, it’s MIK with a thin body. Pickups sound good though.

Based on th picture, it should say Peavey International Series, on the headstock && Raptor I. Of course we know how people sand down inexpensive headstocks. It's a thin ply body with a good neck. Pickups should be flat, with beveled edges. I had two but gave one to my son. BTW Peavey serial numbers are worthless as far as year and model. 092.JPG 095.JPG

She doesn't play, we just keep it because it was a gift from me.

That red guitar in this post reminds me, back in the mid 90's I bought a red Peavey guitar from a music store. It sounded good at the store but when I took it home and plugged it in my rig I just didn't like the sound. So I returned it the same day. It was a strat style, red with white pickguard, but with a bridge humbucker. Cannot at all remember the model name. Now I wish I would have kept it!

Quite a nice score! 3 days into vacation and I'm already wishing I could even find a plank with 6 strings on for a bargain, if only I could fit one of mine in the overfilled car on the way here...
