Default New paint ! ..(take two)

Well after my failed attempt at Tangerine I sanded it down and started over i wanted to do it Seafoam Green but changed my mind. I mixed some old colors and this is what i got . It sure is going real easy this time around.

It looks great. I hear painting is hard unless you have some experience doing it. Nice job.

TJ

PS. Please post the finished product.

That looks pretty darn good to me..Don't know what you might call it..
Reminded me of a paint job that I did on a 1940 Chevy years back.My neighbor did body work part time in his garage. He had some leftover paint from jobs and gave it to me along with the use of his equipment.Mostly dark blue, some green and quite a bit of off white.Mixed it all together and had plenty. It came out real nice..LOL

So is this a poly finish? Doesn't seem like long enough drying time for nitro.

could have been something still in the wood. did you use a "sealer" ? and with sealers, they have to be compatable with the paint. could have been the paint itself. we go through things like this everyday where I work. we get the paint out the door and then the customer has trouble at their plant. so, before I put the final stamp of approval and sign off on it, I make sure everything is what it's supposed to be for specifications.

No sealer took it down to the wood then primer ect. I don't think anything was in the wood i cleaned it with prepsol real good before any work started so any wax ect. would not get into the wood and come back to bite me later Ive use this brand of paint for years never had any trouble so i don't want to blame them top notch stuff? I just really don't have any idea ?? But sometime im gona buy a body and build a partscaster in TANGERINE damit !!
