Raise your coffee cups early risers ~! Who's up early and why ? lol ...
My cats wake me up for food and I'm a sucker and cant say no to them or the thought of a fresh pot of coffee.

You guys are some sick puppies. Five AM is a time to stay up until - not a time to be getting up.

I'm usually up around 5 every morning, sometimes earlier, but I'm in bed about 9 p.m. so I'm getting a good nights rest. Even though I haven't worked in 2 1/2 months due to layoff I'm trying to stay on my schedule for when I do go back to work. I've always been a morning person anyway.

I am a very early riser! Always have been. Started work at 6:00 AM for many years and never have used, or even owned an alarm clock. Never was late once. Been retired for the past 4 years and ma up by about 3:30 -4:00 AM every day. I think I have slept past 6:00 only once in my life. (felt like I had slept away nearly half a day)
Last night we ahd my wife's big annual family get together on Christmas Eve. (She is one of 10 kids). Had it at my stepson's house. Didn't get home until nearly midnight, still got up at 4:30.
I really like the quiet time of early mornings and watching the sunrise. Even when I was a kid, I was always to first kid up in the neighborhood and had wait around for the other kids to get up and go play baseball or something.

Up by 3:30 am. Working today. Yesterday was my day off.
I've started practicing the guit for 30 mins. before work and 30 mins. after work.
I live in the country, so no one can hear me practicing at 4:00 am, except possibly some deer.

It varies with me, and depends on when I went to bed. I am a night owl, but I like my day better if I start early and cruise through the morning. With your own business, you can sometimes call the shots and then you feel guilty if you stay asleep till 8am. I like to get up at 6am usually... That is the ideal sleep pattern. In bed by 10pm and up at 6am, allows your body to get the best sleep. Between 5am and 6am you get the best REM sleep due to the gravitational pull. It is the same thing that controls the tides. You would have to see a sleep study done and see how all patients go into deep REM sleep between 5 and 6am.
