Default project guitar question

hey all...

i have a project guitar that i have been working on for a while now and EVERYTHING on this guitar is different from what i started with:

Different tuners
Reshaped the headstock
Different String Trees
Repainted the body
changed the PG
installed Tex-Mex PUPS in the mid and neck position
installed gfs dream 90 in the neck pos
new bridge (from fender MIM)
new knobs

i plan on getting a new trem block soon but thats about it...

HERE'S THE QUESTION.

This guitar came stock with dime sized V/T pots. There is not even a stamp on them that says 250k or 500k....

Will changing tone and volume pots significantly change my tone, and volume?

Or is a pot a pot a pot??

The pic on the top is a stock photo but it is exactly the guitar i started with.

The pic on the bottom is where i am now.

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME??

The guitar pots should be all 250k and to change them will give you more incremental sweep..If they sound good to you leave 'em, add a treble bleed and replace the cheap cap to a orange drop or PIO..paper in oil.

ru saying u stated w/ a red guitar and now its sunburst? can i pay u to do mine? thats a nice job really.

Back to the pots, for me I always chnage everything out. Nice 5 way and pots etc feels like putting a Hurst shifter in my old mustang,

reshaped the headstock, crap u got some skills

i usually change everything out while i've got it opened up, but the most important thing is to get rid of that cheapie cap. i like the sprague orange drops...IMHO they're your best bet.

It was actually a metallic tangerine (?) color but yes, I did the burst myself.

I did also do the headstock/ logo myself as well.

I am glad you like it!!
