Default Anyone seen one like this?

This bridge is on a Korean squier with an E1 serial number (1991 from my understanding). It looks a lot like an '83 American Tele bridge:

Is the tele second-hand? Do you think it's original?

It is second hand. I don't have it in hand yet so I can't say whether it appears original. I have seen a pic of a similar bridge on a MIJ standard tele and a MIJ squier, both from the '80s, so I suspect this is one of those cases where the production shifted from Japan to Korea and maybe some parts, or even partly assembled guitars, went over to the Korean factory. Then again, it could be a USA '83 body with a squier neck, or just a USA '83 bridge transplant. I'll have a better idea when I have it in front of me.

I have seen a couple of Korean Squier Tele's on the 'bay with the same bridge.

I bought a beat up Tele copy for parts a fair while back - cant recall the brand, but was not Squier. (Nice 'Ash' blonde body though!)
But it had exactly the same bridge design.

most of what I read an E on a serial number stands for eightys as in 1980s so that would date the guitar to 1981

an N on the serial stands for Nineties, 1990s

any more pictures?

"E" usually stood for "eighties" but in the case of Korean Squiers, it was a code indicating the company/factory that manufactured the instrument. They weren't making Squiers in Korea in the eighties.

You can see more pics in the thread titled "NGD: Introducing... Yvonne."

One other thing about that bridge... it's a convertible (string through or top load).
