New guy and ?
Just got a Standard Tele, blond, really nice guitar for the $$. I did have to fiddle a bit with deburring the nut, but 10 minutes and it will now stay in tune.
My question: If I wanted a different color pickguard, will a standard Tele PG fit this Tele?
Thanks, good info here, hope I can contribute.

welcome to the forum, you'll like it here.
it shouldn't be any trouble to refit another guard on a standard tele, though depending on which one you get, it may need a screw hole or two moved.

Welcome to the forum and don't worry the new pg will cover up the old holes.

I think blonde Telecasters look nice. What color pick guard would you choose?

Well, I am thinking of a black one, just because I think they look good. The one I bought is blond with a white PG, which is like the one I played in college. I've always wanted one, and this one sure does bring back some memories.
Interesting that the pic of the Squier Standard Tele PG on their webpage is the 5-hole variety while mine is an 8-holer................ I may not do the black one, this one looks nice as is, just exploring some options.

OK, nothing worse than saying you got a new guitar and then not posting pics.
L-R
Squier Standard (new black PG, and it was the RIGHT choice!), '02 MIM Strat, Yamaha SE300H, redone with humbuckers, a heck of a guitar, still plays great!!
