Default The Short Answer is Yes

Assuming both the Strat neck and the tele neck pocket are standard, it will fit. Both Strat and Tele necks are the same length from nut to (center of) heel, so it should even intonate just fine.

You will, however have gaps at the corners of the neck pocket. If you want a nice, clean appearance, you'll need to buy or make a custom pickguard that follows the curve of the Strat heel and covers those gaps.

The heel is curved on a strat neck and the tele will be flat on the end. My first question would be why you would even want to do that.

It was good enough for Jimi.

I just received a 1986 Bullet Contemporay HST body - the neck pocket (and body) is "tele'like"
I was going to use a Strat neck - but would end up with the gaps like in the photo in sfcmark's post above....and there's no pickguard in that area to cover.
So, I'll get a tele neck to use.

My real question - and I've never taken the neck off a tele, but notice the indented slot area at the body end of the neck pocket - anyone ever seen that before?
If you have, what's it for?

I have neck templates that have those indentions
They are for easier access to a heel adjusting truss rod.
