I got a classic vibe tele today
This is a cool guitar. I like it , it is the classic vibe 50s . Play it through my marshall hafstack and it has a great tone.

The 50's are supposed to be the best of the lot for CV tele's .... anyone think differently ?

All I can say is that I went looking for a tele last year. I tried every one I could find, including MIA and other brands. They all had something I didn't like even before I plugged it in.
They just didn't feel right. This one felt perfect. When I first saw them I ordered one from my local store. He called me and said it was in. He said he didn't want to put it out before I looked at it. He said it was amazing. I was blown away when I saw it and held it. Then when I plugged it in, I couldn't get it out of the store fast enough. I put it in the empty case I had brought and headed for the door. Two guys stopped me on the way out and asked to see the guitar. At the front counter I had a couple of guys hanging over my shoulder as they recorded the serial number.
I am sure they could have sold a dozen that day.
I must add that when the original CV in White came out I could never find one to try out. They were always sold out. So I can't say if this one is any better, but I really do like the color over the white. But I am a maple neck guy, so maybe down the road.

Sorry I just assumed that he was talking about the CV 50s Custom Tele.
That is the one I bought. I have the CV 50s Strat as well.
I have a couple of the tweed Fender cases so I took one down to pick it up.
It sure looked good in that case. Looked like a 1000 dollar guitar all day.
