Wow..
Look at that sunburst beauty

I wonder if those are specials for that retailer only, I know Fender have done exclusives for them previously.

No 'esquire' model yet then...

Classic Vibe Thin? I gotta have that!!! Telecustom? They must've heard me!!! I wonder when do they come out?!? I gettin' one outta the gate as soon as I find out. I was about to get the Squier Vintage Modified version of the "Thinline", but if this comes to the states, I'll hold out 'til they get here.

Cool that they keep developing the CV line. (personally I think the Thinline would have looked even nicer with the same neck as the Telecustom)
Just hope this doesn't mean the "pine-caster" will be discontinued...

Guess we'll have to wait 'til after the 2010 NAMM show in January 14-17 before we know anything else. Damn!

I heard they're not comin' to the states. The thomann.de webstore don't have 'em yet either. Fender's customer relations claim they don't even know anything about these beauties. I guess time will tell.

I don't believe that for a second. They will be available in the States. It's not the first time Thomann has stuff on their site first.

I think that is just Fender being tight-lipped about their NAMM surprises I am like 99% sure these will come to the US. It says they won't be available at Thomann until Feb. 12th, which would be after NAMM anyway. This is probably just a pre-order to build hype.

Me too. I do hope it's the quality I expect, not like the previous Squier thinline Made in India, I think), which was terrible. I was very close to buying a Pro Tone thinlien some years ago. The MIJ Fenders are just too expensive here.

I basically love thinlines for the light weight. But mostly I end up being a bit disappointed with them. A solid body tele has more meat to it. Could be the 1000k poots and differnt pickups and all that, of course.

The custom I love for the Steve Cropper ideas in my head. No, I don't know if he ever played one. But this stuff, oh my:

The VM Thinlines, CV 50s Teles, and CV Strats that I've seen have "Crafted in China" on the back of the headstock, and serial numbers beginning with CY. That first letter in the serial number indicates the country, C indicating China. The Y indicates the company/plant, and a gentleman from Mainland China who posted on the TDPRI when the CVs were first announced said that Y indicates the Yako plant in Taiwan.

The only Teles I've seen that were labeled as Crafted in India were the Squier VM SH and SSH Teles.

My Classic Series '69 Thinline Tele (Made in Mexico) came with 1M pots. My Squier Protone Thinline Tele (Crafted in Kopea) and my Squier Standard Teles (Crafted in Indonesia) came with 500K pots. They all have 250K pots in them now. With 250K pots in them I think these Thinlines have as meaty a tone as my solid body Teles.

THE CVs don't have the CY prefix. They have prefixes like CGS, CGR etc...

Oops. Yes, you're right. I think the CVs were the first with those codes.

I put the same heads up on the Strat Talk forum.
I am in the process of odering one from my local guy up here in Canada. It will be interesting to see the Canadian price. The dollar is so close now. I am looking at the CV Custom. Not sure about the 3 saddle bridge though.
