Default Which one and Why ? J5 Content

I'm trying to be restrained, but Gas is hanging around.

Which one would you pic going by the pics and why ?

http://www.sweetwater.com/guitargall...m/sCGS1004607/

I think the one ending in 4607 has the best string alignment.

I have played one of these in a Guitar Center type chain store, loved it, but was put off by the staff, so I'm going with Sweetwater if I get one. The store wants full price for a floor model and a bad pot.

I like the grain pattern on the maple part or the neck better on the sCGS1004607, otherwise no visible difference in my book.

Ok, thanks for looking an offering an opinion. It could be the angle of the photo, but the strings on the 4607 look better spaced, especially on the 6th string at the nut. The other one seems to have the 6th string closer to the edge of the lower frets.

Allroy, I've searched for images on the net, and can't find one that shows how cool that logo is on the head. Man, if they had put an ebony board on that thing...

Still want one though. Bad.

Yes I think it's the angle of the photo as you can see a bit more of the maple on the right side of the headstock photo on the 3489. So taken at a less straight on position.

Every time I remove the neck from a guitar and replace it I have to realign it straight. There is almost always a little wobble and if I just bolt it on without checking if the strings are even from the top of the neck to the bottom it usually ends up a bit off. I loosen the screws holding on the neck slightly. apply pressure sideways on the neck until the strings are straight, and then tighten down on the neck. I bet if you pointed it out to them they would correct it before they shipped it.

Noted. I see what you mean, but I have to wonder if the Squier MIC's are all the same. There is no wiggle room on the CV strat necks. The neck screws actually thread into the neck. I'd rather do it myself and see if the J5 is that way.
