Default CV Custom Tele Pickups

I read a thread recently about pickups in the CV Teles and Strats. The overall concensus was that the pickups are a variant of Toneriders. Just wondering if anyone here has facts regarding that. If it was already discussed, I apologise. I'm relatively new here. I've had my CV Custom for only about three weeks, playing it through a Vox Pathfinder with a Jensen 8 inch speaker. My favorite amp. (No baffle rattle which seems to be the norm in so many other amps I've tried.) The CV Custom has incredible sustain and within a strummed, lingering chord, I can hear all kinds of harmonics going on. Very rich, complex. The best pickups in a Tele I've heard in a long time. What do ya'll think?

You'll see pictures on TDPRI.com were you have Custom CV tele pups that have toneridesque numbering. Or something. I don't care. I like'em.

I think they ARE low output. But just very very authentic, very open and twangy. Not that I would ever have played a real 60s tele.

I can hear all these tones happening in my Squier:
I am just lacking the 55 harvard!

I love my CVC's pickups. I was thinking I might have to swap them out... until I played one!

I don't care how made them, or what brand they are, but they will probably stay right where they are for a long time to come! They're really the first Tele pickups I've owned that had the bright twang without being ice-picky!

One thing I really like is the smooth tone of the neck pickup in these CVC's. They really do sound like the one in the video! The bridge pickup is bright and clear like the video too... I could go on (and I have before).

Here's my new Tele and the new amp I just got last night (it's a 63 Vibroverb Reissue). It's a sweet combination, lemme tell ya! Though I love my Tele with my Deluxe Reverb too!

I'd like to buy a set of these for another Tele I have. Anyone know where to source these at?

As stated earlier, the pups in the CV Tele Custom are thought to be variants of Toneriders. You'll probably get more info if you Google Squier Classic Vibe Toneriders.

They are very good , That being said I replaced mine with www.chevalierpickups.com pickups and IMO they do sound better
i suspect any quality custom makers would enhance a CV as well. But my fav. are the chev.s
