Default squire tele afinity or tele standerd

Could someone tell me which is better the squire tele afinity or the squire standerd tele looking for a cheap tele to learn with but one i can have fun modifying in the future and which will last me.

Standard. It's a better guitar and you can still mod it. It does cost more but the quality is somewhat better.

The Affinity tele is a top loader and a little thinner than the standard.

I'm not 100% sure but I do not believe them to be routed for a bucker. I think they are all standard but I may be wrong.

Stock I think they sound great,Love every one I ever had, the standards that is,never had an Affinity and they were all Indo models.

Default Im Now A Tele Owner

Well thanks guys im now the proud owner of a squire standerd telecaster courtesey of ebay which i have just won in antique burst.Cant wait for delivery now im so excited

Yes, sure. But I'd still take the affinity or Classic vibe. Standard has always been a skip for me. But toploader or thinner body are not any problem to me, but hey I like Gibsons too (SG is thin, all of them are toploaders).

You like maple neck or rosewood neck? At least the affinities I've played have been maple necked and standard rosewood.

Affies are alder, standards agathis.

Not all Gibsons are toploaders... at least some Flying Vs are string-through. You can identify them by the brass colored V plate where the strings go through below the bridge instead of a stop piece.

Sure, but I meant just that being top loader doesn't really mean anything. Of course there might be lower tension over bridge pieces, but that's really no problem, I feel.
