If a rosewood board will suit you, go for the Standard. They tend to be more consistent in fit and finish and sound very good stock with a string thru body as well. Both have the cheaper dime pots/switch and import style bridge plate, but the Standard just feels more solid. The Affinity has a 41mm nut where the Standard is 42mm. If you have bigger hands, the Affinity neck may feel cramped. You really should play both and decide. An extra $30 for the Standard is gonna be cheaper than the mods you'll probably want to immediately perform on the Affinity. The prices you stated are pretty much in line with what I have seen them selling on CL and in pawn shops. Check out this sound clip of a stock Standard.
