Default Affinity with Tort pickguard

I was looking at the CVC Tele and a couple of the CV Strats the other day. I wasn't as impressed with the CVC in person and the Metallic blue strat was the nicest of the bunch. I spied an arctic white Affinity Tele with a Tort pickguard. Most of these I have played were quite light, infact the felt like a basswood toy. This one probably weighed around 7.5 to 8 lbs. The neck was nice and straight with no fret sprout and the fifth fret harmonic rang nice and clear unplugged. It has the typical POS electronics and knobs. They have it marked MSRP and I am assuming they will match Interweb prices. Has anyone seen a stock Affinity with a Tort pickguard and/or one that had some decent weight to it?

The current Affinity line has white with white pg. I like white with tort so I'd say it's a good looking piece. My son's Butterscotch Blonde Affinity feels good (heavy enough) other than he likes lighter strings than I do. It even sounds good with the stock electronics. We did have to replace the switch pretty quick, though. And will eventually change pups I'm sure.

Good luck with it
