Thanks guys. Proof that it don't have to be a $1000 fender to sound good and be played well, eh?

Even though I'm his dad, I'm constantly amazed at the things he plays and does. He'll hit a lick and all I can do is watch and wonder where he picked that up. And he can really FEEL the music and it comes out.

Yeah no cold ones or smokes for him. He gets a Mountain Dew. And the chef makes him a pizza for afterwards.

Thanks for the compliments. I'll pass em on.

And an affinity at that. I am really surprised at how nice a guitar that is.

Thanks for the compliments. We really appreciate them.

His name is Kelsey. He is so low key about it all. That is about as excited as he gets.

Wow, he is really great. If I tried to play my guitar behind my head it would take 2 hrs to get me unstuck

Sweeeeeeet! I'm going to have to show my nine year old to give him some incentive to keep practicing. Very nice!

Thanks again guys. He works hard at it [most of the time - he is only 10 now]. Last summer, he practiced his guitar/bass/drums for about 6 hrs a day. That really made a difference. He plays lead with us for our entire 2 hr show we do every month at the restaurant where we recorded this.

He is also in a band of boys closer to his age (they are all 12-13) doing classic rock covers. And plays drums/percussion/guitar at church on Sunday mornings. And just started piano lessons. I drive him as hard as he wants to go, without going overboard. I don't want to be a nutso "stage parent", so I let him set his pace and try to keep up. But I do remind him to practice and work hard to get what he wants.

Thanks - he doesn't show any nervousness or excitement. If you watch though, you can see he's waiting for the nod. I didn't know when he was going to do the behind the head thing, but I knew it was coming. Now that I see it from the front, I can see him getting ready. : )

The video guy was set up in a better place, but the restaurant owner had him move out of the aisle. Vid guy said he'd do it again soon and try to get it all better. And Kelsey turns to see in all of the songs to watch the other guys.

WE'll have more vids eventually. Got to get them all edited down. There was a second camerea that day too and hopefully we can cut them all together.

Thanks again for the compliments.
