Default 80's mij telecaster

Hey guys...I need some advice. I have an Ibanez Artcore afs75 trans orange, in pretty good shape. I have a guy who wants to trade mme 2 guitars for my one. He has a 1988 Squier made in Japan telecaster, reliced, and a Squier strat, also a relic, which he bought in a las vegas pawn shop in 99, but he doesn't know much else about it. My question is, how many of you here would make this trade. Neither guitar has its serial numbers on it...he took off the Squier logos, and replaced them with Fender ones, when he did the relic jobs.

how well do you like your Artcore ? I've heard some good things about them. and have you had a chance to play the Squiers ? plugged in ? did they play ok ? was the action where you like it ? I'm not much for "relic's", but some do like them that way. without the serial numbers you really don't know what you're getting. you're taking his word as to what guitars they are. Squiers can be found all of the time on craigslist for $100-$150. I guess I'm saying, it's really your call and how bad do you want the guitars. just some thoughts.

Googledud416 I would recommend against any trade of that sort unless the Squiers were in their original condition and parts. If you want to trade your Ibanez, wait for a deal where you are confident in the matched values. Those Squiers would'nt sell at auction same as those that would be all untouched. Just my two cents FWIW.

Thanks guys...you're input is helping me ALOT. I love my artcore, and it's tricky to find em here in trans orange.

yeah, if you've got a rare guitar now, it's gonna be hard finding one later and you'll always wish that you'd kept it in the first place.

I do not trade guitars that I love. I trade guitars that I don't like much.
