My Classic Vibe 50's 2tone Strat
Can't believe nobody's started this thread yet...
that's my Lady, I call her Mrs. Jangles.
Man she's sweet, necks smooth like butter, deep comfortable contours, the top horns so beveled it practically feels round, and the stock Alnico III pickups sound way sweeter and nice then I was really expecting.
Great guitar and I can't wait to pick up a few more (and some Teles too.)

Nice Q-sawn neck on yours! (& subtle fiddle back maple to boot!)
Mine's Quarter/riff-sawn as well, but not as tight a grain as yours. (sorry, still haven't removed the plastic from the pickguard). Ain't they wonderful thangs.

My CV Tele
I have a CV Tele, that I retrofitted with DiMarzio Vintage Hot T's--also using Ernie Ball Power Slinky 11-48's.....just awesome--this guitar is better playing and sounding than my Fender Am Deluxe Tele (that one cost $1400)

I really liked my CV 50's Strat also. The only mod it has gotten is strap locks.

eh,..nope.
The case is $150, though I managed to get the guitar and case for around $450. out the door. The 50's guitar just demanded a 50's case. First tweed case I ever owned, but I gotta admit I really like it. It fits with the whole 'Vibe' of the guitar.

Already posted this in the Tele section but what the heck.

I have had my Strat for over a year.
How about a comparison to my 50th Ann Deluxe MIA Strat.

Nice man, it's neat seeing the differences looking at the Fender next to the Squier.
Gotta admit though I think the Squier looks cooler.
That Tele is sweet as hell. I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous, I don't even want that Tele.....
....
...ok I'm full of crap, I really want that TELE!!

Yes I really think that any Anniversary strat should have a tinted maple neck. And I agree that the CV looks better because of that. The looks and feel of the CV are very close to the MIA. The MIA however is a much nicer guitar. Better feel to the neck, and the electronics are a lot better. The MIA comes with locking tuners, strap locks, SCN pickups, S1 switch, and a beautiful hardshell case. But factoring in the 1500 Can. price tag I don't think is is 4+ times better.
I have always said that the CV50s is a must have for any guitar player/collector, and I am adding the tele to that list. I might now get one of last years tele now, in White.

The CV50's is the only one that I ended up selling because it didn't sound as good as my CV60's, fret-work was not as good and neck just wasn't as playable. (for me of course). I think I just had one of the mediocre ones out there but good to see so many players realizing the quality of these new squiers.

The gold pickgaurd is anodized aluminium which is suppossed to help keep noise down. You can also buy n aluminium pickgaurd shield from GFS or Fender to go under your pickgaurd. I am going to try one they say it will stop most of the hum without loss of highs like body cavity shielding can cause.

I love these 2 Guitars, I especially loveeeee my new Sham Kamikaze, I already have a awesome CV 60's with a Mint Green Pickguard
and was really wanting a White CV 50's Strat, and change the Pickguard to White, but then I found the Sham which is perfect,
because its White like i wanted and it has the same PUPS as the CV 50's Strat except the Bridge PUP is Reverse Angled, with a Reverse
Staggered AlNiCo 3 Magnet Pole Pieces and Reverse Headstock

Here's mine through different phases of its history. In addition to the below it also had Fralin Vintage Hots and Tonerider Pure Vintage in it. Most importantly, the stock pickups are now back and staying. Everything is stock again except for new pickup covers (the originals are too yellow) and better electronics:
Bone stock:
Lace Sensors:
Gold Guard for fun:

ya i was just fooling around. Although the stock pickup covers really do need to be swapped. I don't have a new picture handy with the new ones, but if you look at my first picture (completely stock) you can see how the knobs and switch tip are a proper cream, but the covers are a much darker unrealistic yellow. When I took some standard fender creams they matched up with the knobs and tip perfectly.
