Default Pickgaurd Colour

Looking for some opinions on a new pickgaurd colour for my SE. The guitar is Olympic White and am thinking either mint, white, or parchmant. I wanta more vintage look for it.

What do you guys think?

John

I use a cream guard on my burst and a mint on my red one. Ck out Dragonfireguitars.com the guards fit real well and good prices!

How is the colour of the mint from them? Sometimes the aftermarket mint colour is very strong.

Mint green. Also what are you doing for the knobs and switch tip?
Aged creme with aged knobs would look cool as well.

Was going to used aged white for the knobs and tips. Aged cream pg does sound good as well. It is really difficult o get true colours off ofpictures on teh computer though. Halfthe time the mintlooks white and the other times it looks lime.

I did try the coffee trick on a white Squire pup cover. It may have tinted it a bit. I may try scuffing up the surface with a scotch brite to se if it takes better.

I started the pics yesterday. Working on the neck tint now with the Zinnser you recommended. Looking good. Almost afraid to put up pics as it may get thrashed by some. I will send you a couple as I go along. i also ordered the decal from the website I sent you. Now I need all the extras...pg, backplate, vinage tuners and a new wiring kit. I have a bridge and neck pup from a Hyway 1 for it and looking for a middle pup.

We all have different tastes and likes and dislikes. It doesn't matter if someone else "trashes it" the important thing is if you like it or not. It's your guitar and that's what matters. enjoy and have fun with it
