Default Simon Neil Artist Series Squier Stratocaster

Has anyone got one of these?
I picked up a copy of 'Guitar and Bass' and the reviewer was waxing lyrical to say the least.
Gave it a score of 93%
It has staggered Alnico V and Alnico III pole pieces in each pup (V's on the bass side and III's on the treble side).

"even under scrutiny the price seems low, Affordable, classy accessible to younger players-it's an exceptional job"

"An excellent looking, feeling and most importantly, sounding instrument-this is quite simply a cracking guitar"

"Highly impressive upgrade to the fab '60s Squier CV Strat.
the reviewer sounds like he couldn't get enough.

Painted in fiesta red with tinted maple neck, rosewood finger board.

Only bad point was the usual small Squier pots and bad switch.

Squier does it again. just when we get used to the superb CV's they push the bar even higher (my words not theirs).

Another reason Squiers rock. Be proud and show the world!!!

I played a Simon Neil @ the NAMM show,
along w/ one of the Sham Kamikaze Strats,
& found them both to be excellent guitars.

I'd love it if we could get them in North America at our prices.

Default I love my Sham

The Sham Kamikaze is one of the most beautiful sounding/feeling well made Guitars I've owned, I've got my eyes on a Simon Neil

Thanks for your kind words on my photo's guys, but I gotta tell you, this guitar is absolutely stunning in the flesh.
From some angles in certain lights it is a deep creamy red, and in others it has that fiesta red / pink tinge to it. It is actually VERY close to the USA custom shop fiesta red.

The pickups are (as you would expect from Tonerider....the actual supplier!) top notch (plenty of sweet Strat tones there!), and unique to this model having a mixture of alnico 3 and 5 polepieces in each pickup.

It is one very special guitar!.....

'Peter Cooks guitar world' in Hanwell, London are willing to ship these over to the USA (or anywhere else), but unfortunately the exchange rate will probably dampen the proceedings somewhat (US residents will be looking at probably twice the normal price of a CV Strat).

Here's a colour comparison:

Left: Simon Neil Strat. Middle: USA CS '56 NOS and Right: 1983 JV Strat.
