Default The squier affinity series is now made of alder!

The Squier Affinity series is now made of Alder.
So any S/N indicating it was made in late 2009 is probably Alder however you'd have to get an exact date to be sure. BUT.

AFFINITY SERIES SQUIERS WITH S/N 10XXXXX IS MADE OF ALDER!

p.s this thread is just to cast everyone's eye on the news. i thought it'd nice to pontificate

Actually they have been made of alder for awhile. You can also find full sized bodies sometimes in the older models. Not postive what years though. Both my Jimi and SRV tributes are affinities made of alder.

I have a few affinity bodies and they are all alder. They are a bit older though from 99 to 2002. The earliest one had a ply front and back and was a bit thicker. The s/b ones are the best as you can see exactly what you are getting.

I bought an Affinity a couple of months ago for a project and it has an alder body. Very solid.
