Squier Simon Neal Signature Strat
I was looking on the Squier website and they have a Signature series model called the "Simon Neal" Sinature Series Strat. It is basically a 60's strat but it has a very cool Fiesta Red paint job.
After look into a bit, it is only available in the UK. How can I get one of these? I like the features and love the color. I would turn it into a poor man's Custom Shop Mark Knopfler Strat.
Anyone have any insight on how to obtain one of these for the Squier collection?
Thanks,
TJ

You would have to order it from a retailer in the UK. They are beauties I've seen some photos of a few peeps have bought.

Its a fine guitar .I have one and its my favorite strat ever , apart from my original jV Squier from 82 which I had to sell sadly many years ago, and that includes an HW 1 and a MIM .
It seems a real shame its not available in other parts of the world .I also got a Lake Placid Blue Baja which is a UK-Europe only .I suppose you get some we dont .I think the Silverburst Squier Thinline and the Bigsby Tele are a couple we will miss. .

Thomann online shop in Germany sells those for 350 Euro. I don`t know import rules to USA. For me it`s too expensive to buy from USA because of import costs, despite guitars are significantly cheaper there, so i buy most of my stuff from mainly Thomann.
They seem to have own QC, i have got only good guitars from them.
Pic: all but 2 (Artcore &/ Std Strat) are bought from Thomann.

The cheapest deal I have seen and the one I went for was 259 UKP with a free Kinsman hard foam case thrown in .It was too good to turn down and I lusted after one any way so pressed the button at last .it was from dolphin Music a main dealer .I suppose mail cost would be a lot ..its about 100 USD plus from USA to UK so would be similar plus any import duty .They average 259 UKP without a case from other dealers and Ebay .List price is 359 UKP

I have a Squier 'Simon Neil' Biffy Clyro Strat, & can confirm that it is a great guitar. Yes it's only available in UK & Europe, presumably because Biffy are a popular modern Scottish band. I would guess that it is a 'Classic Vibe' series '60s Strat in all but name, & with special pickups that are described as Alnico V magnets on the E,A & D strings, & Alnico III magnets on the G,B & E strings. Whatever .... it plays well & feels good & I would rate it higher than Mex Standard Strats, & maybe the equivalent of the Mex 'Classic Player' series, only it costs about 2/3 of their price. The only upgrades I made to it were to replace the thin alloy typical Far East Trem block with a full thickness milled steel one. Now the arm doesn't work loose anymore. I also put in a Japanese Gotoh Trem arm, as the Chinese versions seem to be a little too long. The rest is great, & it is quite lightweight too. The body is described as being Alder.
Tony.
