Squier Recommendation Please!
I already have the CV 50's and 60's Tele with single coil pickups in them, but I need a Squier either Strat or Tele that can do more of a classic rock sound. I was thinking humbucker in the bridge position or perhaps some other configuration. Here are the models I have looked at, but I there may be a better choice. Recommendations welcomed.
1) Strat Deluxe with Hot Rail Pickups
2) John 5 Squier
3) Vintage Modified that has a humbucker in the saddle and single coils in middle and neck position.
Which of these or possibly another model would you go with for a classic rock sound?
I am going to hang on to the CV 50's Tele and either sell or trade in the CV 60's Tele.
Thanks in advance,
TJ

Any of those that you listed would produce some sweet classic crunch.

Well, you can't get much more classic rock than the Stones.
Tele with a humbucker in the neck?
Vintage Modified Tele® SH

I was thinking humbucker in the bridge and single coil at the neck, but I am open. I had a Fender Lonestar Strat that I ended up returning due to lack of funds, but I liked the combination with the Pearly Gates at the bridge and the Texas Specials at the middle and neck position.
Tell me your favorites in this category... please...

Probably anything with a humbucking pickup in it would work.
What bands do you refer to when you write "classic rock sound"?
I found this page about Ted Nugent's guitar thought you might be interested: http://www.edroman.com/featured/tednugent.htm
