My new toy :)
Heres my Squier which arrived last week! I absolutely love the thing, havent put it down since I got it! Its got a few little knocks but it doesn't look like its been played in its 20+ years!
Does anyone else on here have the same guitar cos I've searched high and low and can't find one? I just wanted a bit more info on it, the serial number is E907563 does anyone know what year that is? I thought it was 89 but there a thread on here that says E+6 digits=1984-1987? If anyone could confirm that would be great? Not too bothered cos its defo a keeper, it'd just be good to know?
I've put a pic of my other guitars too (if the pics work i've not done it before)

Everything I have read is that the bullet was made in the USA from 81 to 83, then in Japan from 84 to 87. Then they moved over to Korea. I think in your picture it does say "Made in Korea" I tried to blow it up but it becomes washed out. It is a special edition to be sure with no pickgaurd, and a rear access for the controls. HB pickup with single coils.
Would it be poissible to get a closer picture of the pickups, and the headstock.
Obviously a rare bird and very collectable. Nice axe. There is a lot of information on regular E Series Strats but I rarely see anything on Bullets.

Cheers Bullit, I've searched for ages through TDPRI (saw one of your comments too) and I'm still none the wiser but had fun reading through it all its a real good site! And it took an hour and half off my shift in work so its all good
Thanks for your input too Allroy I was thinkin 88 - 90. Do squiers have date stamped necks? I might pull the neck next time I restring her cos its just gona eat away at me otherwise haha!

If you look closely, it has the star with the #1 inside of it...that's a Bullet 1!

squier bullet
I think its mostly likely made in 1989
I have one that dates 1987 with an E7 serial
yours is the less common no-pickguard, humbucker style bullet.
most of the E serial korea guitars, are thought to be made of leftover parts from either japan, or usa, or parts from a factory called Young Chang that produced its own fenix brand guitars as well as the squier line, the fenix guitars were to identical to fenders, so young chang/fenix could not sell them, and it is thought that the parts were labeled squier and sold as squiers.
From what I have seen the E serial necks are almost all the time highly lacured and nice woods, also alot of the E serial guitars support fender bridges and tuners,
my bullet has a solid heavey body, its smaller than my other squiers but heavier.

Thanks for all your input guys its most appreciated! I think I'm gona agree with 1989! Although I will get my uncle (he knows what he's doing and I dont) to pull it apart one day to try find out for sure and see if there any identifying mark or stamps.
I've spent hours and hours looking for another one and the only other I've seen similar (no scratch plate, HSS and all black) had a slightly different shaped body. Kinda more like a tele shape.
Whatever it is, its the best £67 Ive spent in a long while! Cant stress how much I love it! Thanks again guys, you rock!
