If you want a Squier Strat with a tinted gloss neck and maple fretboard, you could purchase a new CV50 for less than that Korean on Ebay.

The CV50's seem to be favored by many on this board.

I purchased a made in Korea(serial number E1XXXXXX) strat for CAD$180. It came with a nice little hard case and a 15w roland amp. Sold the amp for $20 to a coworker.

In the add the seller said he maybe used the guitar 5 times, it looks new. The guitar appears to have lived its life inside its case. Has never had a setup. The strings were so high, and the neck had such a bow to it that you could have used it to shoot arrows.

Check out some of your local pawn shops. You can make offers lower than what they ask and you can play before you buy.

To answer your question the E series made in Korea are pretty good strats. They are riding on the coat tails of the JV Strats from Japan They are not as good as a JV. The seller is a retail outlet and they are trying to hype the E series. I would say they are in the 250 range. They are almost as good as an American of that era so they are worth more than the standard, Affinitity or bullet of today.
I hope that helps

Can certainly be worth it, you'd have to go play it and decide.

Thanks man just what I needed to know. this one on CL is a MIK Squier II circa 1993 and looks to be in great shape so 90-100 bucks seems like it may be a great deal..I will go play it and report...
