Default Planning a Mod

I plan to heavily mod a recently purchased Squier Bullet Strat which I bought as a mod project guitar.
I plan to gradually do the following:
1.Put in a humbucker in the bridge position.
2.Replace the pick guard (for obvious reasons)
3.Replace all the stock pups (and electronics if necessary?)
4.Replace the tuners
5.Lastly I also plan to upgrade the tremelo unit to a locking type (possibly a Super-vee)..
Any valuable advice from those who have been down this road before?

Replace pots with 500k or 1meg, depending on pick-up resistance.

i've done a lot of mods on my Bullets. the only thing that can be tricky is tuners, as you need to make sure the new ones will fit in the small holes (or ream the holes for larger shafts).

oh yeah, and what about the nut? ya gotta get a nice nut.

I saw the pic of your collection of Squiers. Your'e the man allright...
I'm thinking about investing in a Super-Vee drop-in unit to improve tuning & sustain (perhaps their Bladerunner which looks more traditional) and I'm pretty sure they come with a nut designed to go with that unit.

Thanks for that!

Can you recommend any types of tuners that are more or less compatible for the Squier? - I've read that Wilkinsons are ideal - any anothers??

I'm thinking of replacing the pups with Seymour Duncan Alcino II's or JB's in middle and neck (want to get a nice clean sound) and adding a Pearly Gates or similar Humbucker in the Bridge..I play blues, pop & hard rock

I know it's all about personal preference - but a good pick up is a good pickup...
Anyone had any success with particular types of pick ups?
