Sqiuer Silver Series?
Hey, Me again. Still having problems trying to find out wether my squier is a "Silver Series" or not. Saw a post on the Fender Discussion Page/Fender Forum saying the if the Squier logo was silver but did'nt have the "Silver Series" logo on the headstock (which mine has'nt) then it was'nt a "Silver Series". It also went on to say that if you take the neck off a non-silver series then it would have "Vester" stamped on it (and mine does'nt). So I am very confused! Established my model was made in Japan 1992-1993. Any "Silver Series" specialists out there who can help me? When I took the neck off the following is printed: SQ2-ST.B SSH and printed on neck: SQII-STM then the last two digits are covered by a black mark like a little burn but last one maybe a 8 or an S?
Thanks in advance.

Forgot to say it has a maple/skunk neck and had 3 x Fender Lace Sensor Gold Pups + Schaller tuners when I got it. Think I got original pups and tuners when i bought it.

It is not a Silver series, just a plain 'ol Japanese Squier. Silver Series had the words on the nose as feature of the series.

Thanks Moto, Rock and Allroy. Well it looks like its not a silver series after all but she's beautiful and plays like a dream. I'm glad I found out the year she was made thanks to S.Rock.

Your welcome. There's good and bad in all series, I'm sure someone has a Silver Series authentic out there that does'nt play so well. Embrace your Squier.
