I'd go with peskypesky and sand the logo, then put the gold one back in the right place.
Cheers

That IS an amazing job!
Some Fender headstocks don't get cut as nicely as that... they know which ones they are...
I'm amazed, most of these only look shaved down to eliminate the "right angle" but still retain the "ball sack sag" as opposed to the elegant hourglass curvature.
Damn, you did a nice job... maybe you should buy up all the CBS headstock necks on FleaBay, make 'em pretty and sell them for profit... MUHAHAHAHAHAH...
MUHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH...munch munch munch...

If anyone else wants to do this, I have a .pdf file of several Strat and Tele headstocks.

Good job on that headstock. I would opt for that gold Squier label also.

i made a gold Squier logo using the Fender font is anyone wants. i would imagine you can print it onto decal paper and then apply it to your headstock.

To all that say the large headstock looks bad or GOOFY. I prefer it to the small. More mass = more sustain . DUH

Yes of course. We're all goofy idiots because we don't like the big ugly headstock.

i don't HATE the big headstock. hey, if it was good enough for Jimi Hendrix & SRV, it's good enough for me. i just prefer the small headstock. i find it more elegant and classic.

I remember thinking as a pretty young child "why'd that guitar company change that neck thing".
Kinda funny.
Now I know why.
I have a few of each size, and like them for what they are. More mass does = more sustain. Plus I can get more psychodelic with my large headstocked 72 RI.
BTW...looking good 1935streetrod.

Sending a bit o love for the big headstock. With the smaller one, it just feels unbalanced to me. I know it's not, it's all in the mind. But there you have it! lol

Nice job on that! I'd be afraid to attempt it. Agree that the logo should be removed and replaced. Look forward to seeing how pesky's logo looks on it.
BillStickers, funny you put up that clip. I just pulled that movie out and watched it a few hours ago for the first time in years. Still one of the top 5 funniest movies ever made!

Or paint the headstock to match the body, then slap on a logo in black or gold. whatever works with the color.

Well, this is how the cut down Affinity headstock turned out. The logos applied and clear coated with satin Krylon.
(my apologies on the logo) I really prefer the awesome gold Squier logo, but the guy who bought this guitar was a happy label snob. Thanks for all the comments everybody.

Here is the headstock I restored on my Deluxe after the previous owner sanded the logo off of it... I Love those gold Squier logos!
