Hmmmm...single humbucker...no wonder it doesnt' need tone..and the blue color is nice, too. Maybe I'll try for it.

I just bought one last month. My headstock Says bullet and affinity but have been told it is a Bullet special. It's a plywood body and the pickup squeals when played loud. I doubt it goes much higher.

I got one exactly like that 3-4 years ago (paid $70 if memory serves). I found the single pickup thing pretty limited. Last year while I was recuperating after some surgery I routed it out for 2 more pups and upgraded some of the hardware. Now it's a sweet player.

A squealy pickup is easy to solve. Just wax pot it. Here's a link to the instructions:
