Those Duncan Designed humbuckers are nothing to sneeze at. Really good pickups, if you ask me.

I tried one out in a shop and it is now on my GAS short list. It feels good and has a terrific sound.

I also like how Squier has been using amber tinted finish on on the necks of some models, like these and the Classic Vibe series. It adds a little class and looks sweet.
It would be nice to see Fender Mexico do the same thing on some of their Standard models. The neck on my MIM Tele was way too pale. I had to take matters into my own hands. Would it hurt them to throw a little tint in the mix?

I've got so many guitars that individual ones don't get enough attention..So it does go with my Jagmaster. But so far it seems to be one of my favorites..I'm gonna record with it soon and then I'll know more...Stay tuned...

i love my jagmaster. the neck has some flame in it and fits well to the body and the sunburst finish is amazing. the pickups are good, but to me lack the umph for a good distorted sound, so mine got changed out

They look great!
The only one i tried seemed a bit lifeless though. But i very strongly suspect it was a duffer.
Can happen with any almost every factory built instrument.
Ill be looking to try another for sure - Still on my GAS list...

I've had my sunburst Jagmaster for about 4 years. I absolutely love it! I think they are excellent guitars, especially considering the price. The Jagmaster is my "go to" guitar when I need a thick rhythm sound. I'm surprised that they're not more popular.

Opinion on Jagmasters? Frickin great. However I'd advise to get an older one . The latest ones play good but seem "cheap" compared to older ones IMO.

Well, except maybe for the tuners, I don't find my non-Vista, sunburst Jagmaster "cheap" in any way. The fit and finish is just as good as on my CV 50's Strat.

The Jagmaster doesn't have all the switches like the Jaguar does. Just a single three-way to select between pickups.
I heard what the switches do on a Mustang....you can get the spikiest surf sound imaginable in some combinations.

Stratty, What is not to love? They sound great, play great and look f***ing cool. I also agree with the coolness of the double hummies. I am keeping my eyes open for a black one, I have the sunburst model and she is lonely. M.

I don't care much for Strat type trems, but I've lived with 'em for a long time..I prefer the Jazzmaster or the Bigsby..
I changed the pups on mine mostly because I didn't think they matched the decor of the rest of the guitar..Got GFS in it now..The HB's were OK but I already have several guitars with HBs..
Yeah the neck color is nice and it has very nice action [after a setup].
All in all I guess I'd give a thumbs up on my Jag..

I had a sunburst, but in a period of insanity sold it off. I enjoyed it enough that I plan on replacing it. I enjoyed it as much as I enjoy Fender Strat.

i've had mine for 6 mos or so...it's been a splendid guitar. mine came out of the box (from mf) with a great set up...i put 10's on it....next string change i'm trying 11's, to see how it goes...
mine seems to get dings in it much more than my other guitars...but the neck is great...really great.
i don't like the placement of the toggle (which is true for alot of electrics) as i am forever knocking it out of the neck position...
but it's a great guitar for the $ i think...
jkae.
