Default what mods have you done to your jagmaster?

aside from pup swaps and stuff, any one make any real novel mods to their jagmaster?

i recently saw a mij jaguar with a bigsby bridge that looked oddly hot and i was thinking of trying it...

anyone know if it would/would not work?

So far just the pup swap but I'm thinkin' strong of movin' the switch up to the top, like a LP, and putting a master vol. where the switch is now..Then using the pots for individual tones..I might even do the split coil thingy too...

Nothing special...

Swapped bridge pup, added a middle pup, and replaced the toggle with a 3-way rotary switch and chicken head knob.

modded aint the word, check out my jagmaster, i spent so much time and money i could've bought a new jazzmaster or jag but it was fun and worth it cuz its definetly one of a kind, the only

i love this thing, sounds beautiful, although, i have one problem, it kinda makes some noise from the amp when not being played, i think its not grounded right, i soldered everything properly except the ground i think, i have a wire going from the volume pot to the tremelo plate, i read online that is how jags and jazzes are grounded, but not sure cuz it still makes some noise, any tips on how to ground this thing, this is the first time i have ever done anything like this to a guitar, i came so far in this project, and would love to just finish it on my own and not pay some one at a shop a bunch of money when i can do it my self with a little advice,

Jake, there are some excellent craftsmen on this site. I am good at changing parts, just not the painting or fabricating. I juiced a Squire Classic Vibe 60's Strat with a solid steel trem block, stainless saddles, Seymour Duncan Aniquity Hot Texas Pickups, Tusq Nut, Sperzel copy Locking Tuners. It is Candy Apple Red and plays and sounds like a guitar 3 times the price I have in it.

I also have a 50's Squier Classic Vibe Tele made of Pine. It is white with a maple fretboard. It also has locking Schallers, Tusq Nut, Seymour Duncan 50's Antiquity Pickups a Wilkenson Compensated brass bridge. This guitar rings out like a tuning fork. The pine makes it light weight and really has an interesting tonal quaility. Though Pine is soft the finish is a super hard poly. I love this Tele. It is in tune everywhere.

cool stuff, everyone!

well...it hit me the other day. i never took a guitar apart b4. but i did. i scuffed up the sunburst finish and painted it sonic blue. i just sprayed it with a coat of hunter green (kinda like sherwood green, i'm hoping for). i painted the head stock black. i will (hopefully be able to) wear out the green in the right spots to show the sonic blue (and maybe sunburst?) underneath...

i'm going to try to spray the pick guard black...or get one cut.

my own little tm jm project, i guess.

my friend will help me (i don't know anything about electronics) put in a switch to split the coils...

should be pretty awesome!

jazzguar

ask the guys at http://surfguitar101.com/ about your wiring they know the Jaguars and Jazzys inside out.

A few of them have turned the Jagmaster in to a Jazzy.

Soon as I get my Rebel 90's and a Surfari middle pick up I'm doing that mod to my '02 Silver Sparkle
so I can some of that Strat sound with out changing guitars.

I'm going to hook up the middle pickup by replacing the tone pot with a volume pot as I never have used the tone anyway.

depends on what fender tuners you mean. if you mean the american standard tuners, they'll fit, but you'll have to drill new holes for the pins

Hi guys.
On my jagmaster I changed the pickups with a sd p-rail on the neck and a sd jb on the bridge. P-rail has a switch to select p90 coil, humb in series and humb in parallel, the jb has a switch to select series/parallel.
Then I replaced the crappy saddles with 3 brass telecaster saddles. Bridge lay down on the body and I don't use the tremolo. Pics coming soon.
