Default anybody tell me about my squier??

cant find anything about PN serials...I want to find out how old this is, model and all that. I'm guessing it's a cheapie with an agathis or alder body? headstock is soft, there's a few dings in it but it's fine. one tuner is rattly but it's also fine.
it was given to me, cheapo or not, I wasn't going to say no LOL! just threw on a new set of ghs medium rounds, sounds better than it was with the old strings

Thumper:

and the serial #

I would assume the "P" is for Precision Bass and the "N" is like on 6 strings is for 1990's. If I find more info I'll post it. Nice Bass! I don't blame you for saying yes! I would! I think I seen "N" for a 90's guitar and the next number is the year. I'm taking a guess, Maybe 1995?
For example: I know your's was not made in these countries but I'll show you anyway.
Chinese & Taiwanese Squiers

YN: Y = Yako (Taiwan), N = Nineties (1990s), the first number following the serial number prefix is the year.

For example

* "YN5" = made by Yako in 1995.

Here's the lnk, There's not much info here.

Oh I just found this one on Squier Precision bass and it doesn't say very much:

Thanks. trying to figure out it's history is a pain. LOL...

it's a good bass, bridge is a little dirty but it's fine. My teacher's already gone over it, can't adjust the truss it's not moving at all he said. It's been sitting in it's case in a garage for a few years. Now it's got some TLC and life again.

Oh you're welcome. You know I wish I could remember where I read about lubricating the truss rod. I can't remember if you use WD-40 or not. I just got a cheap Affinity off ebay and it was a little dirty too. lol Now she's looking good. lol

I remember reading that someone had a bass with a tuner that rattled, they put a drop of super glue on the tuner and the rattle disappeared.

That is probably the best truss rod adjustment description I've seen. Thanks Suek!
