Squier CV 60s P
Since I sold me Squier VM Jazz, I was looking around for something to take its place - something to take camping or generally tote around and play outside with my Pignose Hog30. I came across this used Sonic Blue CV 60s P for a great price with most of the mods I would make: Tort guard, Chromes and Dunlop straplocks. And it weighs about 8.4 lbs.
Well, this bass is about too nice to go toting around campfires. Great playing bass and digging the tone. I may put a Original P pickup in it, but its not necessary.
Couple pics from the seller:

Yes it is a very nice looking bass. I'd get another bass for camping and parties. A really cheap one.

Awesome looking bass, I really like the look of the tort guard, thinking I may have to look into that for mine, definitely gives it a more distinguished look. What was the guard you went with original fender?

I know!! If I wasn't stinking addicted to the low B, I would have gigged this today. Everything is really nice on this bass. I may end up taking a little steel wool or "green pad" to the back of the neck to knock a little of the gloss off. Otherwise, she's good to go.

I bought it used from a guy who had done all the mods. But he sent all the orginial parts. The original guard was the in the tort's plastic bag. If memory serves me (its late and I'm in bed) it is an original fender.

Thanks man. I hope they do a 5 in a sort of CV style, if you will. I would gig it constantly!
The church gigs need the low B sometimes. We did a rocked out version of Come Thou Fount yesterday that needed that low rumble, so I couldn't bring this jewel.
I may have to bring it to the labor day weekend festival and just vewy, vewy caweful.

Hey cool - going off topic for a moment - we got a really neat bluesy version of Pass Me Not that we did yesterday...Don't know what I'd do with a 5th string tho....

That is a nice looking bass. Don't think I'd want it out in the dirt

@66Musicmaster
I was going to kick on the octave pedal to really get that organ feel, but didn't want to totally freak out the soundman.
@Grrrowler39
Its this or my Squier Jazz Bass V, which is really nice as well. Its my backup 5. Its black now, but I'm wanting to refin it Coral or Candy Orange.
I guess if I bring the 5, less people will be apt to ask to play it. Kinda like me and an electric guitar.
