Default Broke Bronco

Howdy from Houston!
I started this thread on the intro forum and met some good folk, but I' gonna put it in here too.
I got a Bronco with a broken tuning machine. it was strung with heavier strings than it could handle. The G string was 0.060"! The E was 0.130, the A was 0.100 & the D was 0.080. That would be the B E A D on a five string...
I'm trying to find a set of tuners with winding posts that are 1/4 inch shorter than the ones on a bigger bass. That's 1" as opposed to 1 1/4".
I hope someone has done this mod and can help me find them!

It has a EMG 'SELECT' pup but everything else looks stock. The pup sounds ok but isn't very hot. It has a nice straight neck.
Does anyone have any suggestions for other mods this little axe could use?
Thanks,
Old Nick

What you really need on any Bronco is a set of Hipshot ultralights. I installed these on my Bronco and LOVE 'em!
