Default Humbucker question

I have two humbuckers laying around and may use one in another project soon. One is marked R and the other F. I am assuming this means Front and Rear. My question is, what letter, F or R, relates to the bridge and neck position?

John

Doesn't really matter where you put them . Bridge pickups tend to be a tad hotter than the neck pickups . I have 2 bridge pickups in one of my 51s . It screams .

Iv'e come across cheaper pickups also where the bridge pickups is too bright and the neck pup took that edge off in the 1st position

I agree with the front and rear. Both will sound about the same.
