Well I don't know about which to pick, but if the GFS is alnico, I would try to match that up, if it's ceramic then go that way.

Here's a picture to demonstrate the difference. The top one is an Alnico, the bottom is ceramic, you can clearly see a bar running along the bottom one. There is also another variation of the ceramic with two parallel bars on the bottom. The Alnico bottom is flat and you can see the poles.

was thinking of buying the 10 k bridge lil killer, just assuming that the 15k would be too much agressive, (dispite that i want the rail to give me a bit more of strenght in my sound ), wrong Thinking ?
I just don't know what to buy for middle and neck ... the set o killer wouldn't be to much "modern sound "
About the trem, maybe i'll stick with mine, about electronicss, not sure, maybe i'll buy the pickups, get help to install, and send the guitar to a setup =

l be ordering the lil killer( it's alnico or ceramic?? ) on tyhe next few days, The tremolo maybe i'll buy one on the next round of upgrades , one round with more money :P
Well if someone could suggest a set of 3 nice pickups, i woul use two of them , and sell the bridge pickup to someone, or let it stay around here, could be usefull .
next it's just figure out if i'll buy new pots and caps, and why, and what jobs they do exactly, and find someone that can help me install all, then, setup, new strings, and buy a new amp in a cpuple of months =D

Most all humbuckers are ceramic. I think most of the ceramics sound very good. I have a pickgaurd from a MIM SSS that I put in a squier and it rocks. It is hotter sounding then alnicos which is great for rock. Each type of pickup is good for certain sounds and it depends on what you like. With the affinity's I don't like the sound of their stock ceramic pickups but they are made for a $100 guitar the ceramics in the MIM Fender are in $500 dollar guitars so you would expect a better quality and you would get it. I have been doing a lot of testing of pickups as I may bring a line out for the Squier market so I have been trying many styles out. It's hard to buy pickups when you can't try them out so you have a lot of guess work to do. Even the sound clips are not so good because the amp has a lot to do with the sound. Good Luck! I almost bought lil'killers but got used dimarzio's Fastracks on ebay!

I second Dshillhouse, you really can't judge the way a pickup sounds based on a video. I say for the money, buy it! You can always replace it down the road.

You are absolutely right about it being hard to pick out pickups when you can't try them out. I compare this to muffler upgrades on a car. lol
