Default GFS Vintage Blowouts

Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on these tomorrow. Has anyone else tried them yet? Gonna put them in my '96 Squier Strat.

Save your money. Your stock pick ups are just as good, if not better. Those "blowouts" are not actual GFS pickups.

I always figured they were basically the same as stock Bullet or Affinity pickups.

If keeping cost in check, but having a decent set of pickups is the goal, you might consider these: http://www.guitarfetish.com/Strat-Vi...Set_p_717.html

If they are still available, these may be a better set for close to the same price.

i bought a set of those vintage blow outs...actually, they're not too bad. yeah, ur better off with alnicos, but they have staggered pole pieces, which helps a bit more than the stocks.

I purchased the blowout pickups. They are better than stock squier. Not as good as Tex-Mex, or Seymour-Duncan, but for the price I think they were worth the money.

Weird, are they selling returned pickups now? Isn't that set usually $47 or so?

I always thought those non-premium GFS brand sets seemed like a good deal.

Probably no way of telling if they are used or demo or what but looks like a killer deal, assuming they have any in stock. Could be dependent on returns.
