I am upgrading my guitar to alnico PUPS from the stock ceramics...

I found a deal on a LOADED PG with TEX MEX PUPS.

Heres the deal.....

No volume pot
No bridge PUP

(i only needed the middle and neck, as i am set up HSS.)

Thirty Bucks.

Any opinions on these PUPS??

Is Thirty bucks a good deal??

Yea, and it'll save u from purchasing the whole set and having one go to waste. Order some some pots and solder them in. Let me know how they sound, I'm building a HSS and I'm still undecided one what to use for the single coils.

What do you guys use for your humbuckers? I just made 4 models two with alnicoII magnets and two with A5's I am pairing them for some HSS sets one will be an AustinBlues set the singles will be 6.4 neck and mid A5's/43ga and the bucker will be either 8.38 or 8.8 AII's I have not decided Which humbucker to use yet any thoughts on that? I am leaning toward the 8.38 I think to get a better balance.

Man, I am just going to use GFS fender-esque Humbucker in mine. it's like 28 bucks, alnico, etc.....right now mine is ceramic and i hate it.
