Think this may be overkill...
I have just acquired a Gibson Dirty Fingers and a Seymour Duncan SH2N. Last night I decided I'd like to see how they sound in my Stagemaster. They are now installed in the pickguard and awaiting a soldering iron. It might get loud...
LOL, I think the pickups cost more than the guitar...

Yep, set of Texas Specials in an Affinity was pretty much the same for me, any luck with the mod yet?

Well, I got everything wired up, pickguard installed, strings tuned back up, plugged it in and realized I accidentally only wired one coil of the Dirty Fingers. But holy geez wow! That thing in single coil sounds fantastic! The mix of one coil of that and both on the Jazz sounds really smooth and the Jazz just sounds plain nice by itself.
Too tired to take it all apart again tonight I think, but it will be a 10 minute fix tomorrow. I have before and afters I'll post after the kiddies go to bed.
