Default my new partscaster

Well, here is the partscaster, about 99% finished. I still have to order a few more parts, and correct 1 problem area, while mounting the tuner for the low E, the screw head broke, so I just angled it a bit for now to get it mounted, will remove, drill, plug, sand and re-drill when I break it back down for the new saddles. pups sound great, still have to do a complete set-up, but will wait till completely finished. Connections at jack are just twist and tape for now.
List of parts:
Body - Afinity body from e-bay customguitarguys in easter egg swirl pattern
Neck - Strat/G&L neck from e-bay guitarpartsonline1
Pickguard - GFS Custom Shop Neovin Hand Wired w/Mega Texas pups mint green with 250K pots
Bridge - Afinity came with body
Neck plate - Chrome Eagle/Flag from e-bay FSR Custom Shop
Tuners - GFS Gotoh style locking
String Trees - GFS chrome rollers
Trem Cover - Mint Green from e-bay guitarpartsonline1

Parts to be ordered yet GFS Upgrade stainless steel saddles, trem arm with cream tip from GFS and strap locks either dunlop or GFS

This is my first project/partscaster, so let me know how you think it looks

The pups sound real good, the body came with an afinity pg on it with the stock pups so I wanted to replace them. I had already puchased the pg from GFS, I was originally going to put it on a SX SST that I had purchased, but it actually sounds pretty good as is. So when I decided to do this partscaster I was already 1 step ahead. I realize the paint is a bit much, but I wanted something different rather than another burst, red, black looking strat that everyone and their brother has, and ran across this one while looking on e-bay. But to get back to your question, I like the sound of the pups and would not hesitate in recommending them. The quitar is still a work in progress as I still have more to do to it, so will go into more depth on the sound when finished.

Hi papacitorick, I think it's looking great. Was the G&L neck used or new?

the neck was new from dragonfire, I'm not sure but I think it's actually a cross between the strat and G&L headstock

Yeah, at first I thought it was a G&L headstock, but then I looked at one on Musicians Friend and yours has 2 points where the G&L only has one.

I like it! It gets a 10 on the 70's cool scale.
