dunno what year it's from, but it looks to be in good shape. i'd hang onto it just for the coolness factor.

7/25/1966. I betcha. I have an old silvertone from 1966. It's stamped like that but on the pickguard and not the pups. Mainly because the pups are those old foil jobs that sit above the PG.

That's the way these are they just mount on top of the wood instead of being recessed into the body.I need to get the neck pickup working. Not for sure if it's the switch or what yet.So far I've cleaned it up and put some new strings that came off my Bullet on it.I like it,it's one of those guitars that when you play it without being plugged into am amp you can hear it pretty good.

No......... but I run an old guitar recycling centre .Just mail it to me and I will send a goldfish by return....looks a cool guitar , could only be early 60's by style alone.

(It's from the 60s and a super nice blues axe but ya gotta get the neck pup workin'..I'd string it up with light flats and plug into a small tupe amp..Glass Corcidian slide or ham bone ...Old bluesmen would kill for that sound..

I'm not gonna sale it.I was just wondering if it has any value.I seen on E-Bay there was a Kay catalog for like 66 and it had a guitar identical to it but it was the three pickup version with 6 knobs,A volume and tone for each pickup.Yeah,i do really need to get the neck pickup fixed, but i'm just learning the electronics on these things and it's got a few things on it the newer ones don't.You can tell it has been played a lot cause some of the frets have flat spots on them. Now that i think about it the strings are bottom three off my Bullet and the top three are from a hybrid slinky set.Back when i used to play i used to love the Hybrids, but now i'm not to fond of the heavier top strings. If it was made in 66 then it is 22 years older then i am.Plus it's a little rougher in person also.

ooh, another kay!!!!
I just bought one on ebay!!
Japanese made, from late 60's to sometime in the 70's.........all made in one factory in japan and then shipped all over the world without labels on them and shops etc stuck their own labels on them...
so far names which all have the same look from what i've seen are:
Teisco
Kay
Satellite
columbus (or similar)
silvertone (the late ones I think - don't quote me on that)
Some say they're awful, some say otherwise....I think they look beautiful in an ugly kinda way....sort it and play it! that's what I intend to do with mine (when it gets delivered)
reckon they will be collectors one day, at the moment they are very unknown - just think it's cool you can get a guitar that's 40 odd years old for pittance!!! hehe
enjoy!

I have a 62 Tiesco that I love. The neck is horrible above the 10th fret but when the time comes to learn slide I am ready.
