Default NGD!

Just picked this up last night. Plays and sounds great. I'll be putting on new strings (10s) and taking a look under the hood this evening.

I have one too nice guitar for the money, body is not solid but plays nice. I did some pup changes and had a couple of combos that sounded really nice in it. Mine is traditional 2 pickups. It's my only tele til I can get myself a real lefty one. It's a tele-lite because the bodies are smaller than reg tele's.

Looks nice. I like Peavey guitars. Does it have a 5 position switch?

Something just look ply-ed about it, can see some seams, did you look in the neck pocket? There were differnt generations of the Generation series, these were China made. Does'nt much matter to me, I have a CustomShop Nocaster in the bridge and a Dimarzio DP-156 in the bucker and it sears ... so all's fun in the axe regardless of what it's made of. And before I had Dimarzio Twangbucker (sounds every bit as good as the Nocaster) and a vintage solid nickel covered Dimarzio PAF (70's) in the hum spot and this guitar sounded good with both. I also put a treble bleed in, so the sounds can change up more than just the 3 positions on the switch.

It's a bit hard to find info about as it's discontinued and no longer on Peaveys website. Pretty much all the sales literature I've found says this about it:

* 25 1/2"scale
* Alder body
* Three-ply pickguard
* Vintage-wound bridge, middle and neck pickups
* High Gloss Maple neck
* 21 vintage frets
* Single volume and tone controls
* Five-way pickup selector
* Ashtray-Tele Style Three Saddle bridge
* Vintage tuners
* 6-in-line headstock
* Available in solid and transparent colors

It is made in China and the best I can tell from info at the Peavey forum, it was made probably 2007-2008.

I'm really liking the sound of the pickups, especially the bridge pickup. Not as hot as the pickups on my Squier SE but the sounds seems fuller.

With the pots and switch being easier to get to on this style, I'm going to try out a treble bleed and possibly a couple other mods to see what all this baby can do.
