That has to be a joke...
And seriously... it is "duct tape". Not "duck tape"...
It is sad how illiterate people are when they make that kind of mistake. English was always my weakest subject in school and I find it shocking how poor grammar is on average on the Internet.

...it is hard to say Duct Tape though...
It's also very handy for shutting the mouths of Ducks though as well as Crocodiles and Alligators
As an English person, I suppose some might say it is my duty to critique and discriminate on the matter of poor language and incorrect grammar. But I won't for the sake of my innocence . However, I will say I make the effort to properly punctuate and spell when being more formal. My frequent use of ellipses is the usual indicator of my informal manner as well as abbreviations and variant spellings in slang.

From what I understand, shortly after its invention, it was referred to as "Duck Tape" (before then it had no real name). Partly because it was made with cotton duck fabric. Later on, it was colored silver (rather than a matte green) and was used to patch holes in ducts so people mis-heard it as "Duct Tape," which has now become the generic name.
