What's The Word On Brownsville Guitars?
I'd never heard of these until yesterday
when i ran across a couple on Craigslist.
And i just happened upon another one... this LP style:
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv...518833495.html
So what's the deal w/ Brownsville?
Are they any good?

It's been a while, I remember those. I've always known those to be so-so, but that's all I know about them.

Yeah... i figured.
They've been showing up left & right
on Craigslist over the last few days.
From different sellers too.
I guess lots of Brownsville owners
need some extra Christmas cash.

If you could pick one up dirt cheap it might be an interesting modding platform.

I don't know if I'd pay $85, but for $65 I'd certainly check it out. If the neck is straight and the body seems resonant, I'd buy it and swap out hardware as needed.

There's a really nice &
flamey LP on CL today.
No headstock pic though.
I'm working on another Squier deal
right now anyway though, so...

It is weird they all pop up now. The flame top is a beaut though.

Yeah... not bad, right?
But if the headstock blows,
it wouldn't even matter.
Always a deal breaker for me,
especially w/ Les Paul copies.
