Default LTD strat copy.

http://www.espguitars.com/guitars_st.html

I know it's crazy, but for just over 400 bucks, this guitar is....simply out....AMAZING.

It's not a Fender, or a Squier, but I am 'tellin you people, I played one the other day and they RULE!

I would actually sell a few of mine to own it.

They look like other Strat type guitars to me. Are the pickups special in some way? What did you like about these guitars? USA $ 400 + seems expensive to me but I hear that ESP makes fine guitars.

I see the necks have a U contour. How was that for playing?

They sounded great. Far better than low-end squiers. I don't know if they are alnico or what.

It was really the playability that sold me. It has XJ (extra jumbo) fret wire and a super fast, worn neck......i loved it so much.

For $400 I would sure hope it sounds better than a low end Squier! By low-end, you would be referring to a $119 Bullet. Add $300 in upgrades to the Bullet and how would they compare?

Putting a Floyd, new pickguard with HSS pickups and electronics wouldn't even be $250 if you went with GFS's parts... Probably could do it for that with Mighty-Mite parts too.

That would make a Bullet very competitive with the lower of the two ESP/LTD's, and it would cost less to build something similar to the top one.

Of course there'd be some work, especially for installing a Floyd on a Bullet...

Well if you add all the time and expesne you'd need to make it look road worn like the LTD...

Relic guitars always remind me of that line in Crossroads: "Look at this old guitar you been squeakin' on. I bet you saw this thing in a music store and bought it just because you thought it was beat up."
