I've really fallen for this mahogany beauty, but the stock 'buckers are too hot (15-16K) and the single is weak and flat. My first thought was to convert to SSS, but it's kinda unique so I'm leaving it HSH. GFS will be the most likely source for the pups unless I find some good used ones locally.
I like the look of the lipstickers, but that's just cosmetics. I focus mostly on blues, so let me know what ideas come to mind.
GFS PAFs are pretty classic sounding in my opinion. it's too bad they don't sell single coils separately...but i did once buy a set of their clearance 1s for $15. they're not bad. pretty vintage-y.

I have a cream color Dimarzio DP156 comin my way let me know if your interested... alnico 5 magnets, supposed to give good strat sounds and 4 wire coil splittable.
