Default NGD

This just showed up at my door yesterday. It's a Power Play (I've never heard of them either) candy apple red mini strat. It has a 19' scale length. I got it from the Goodwill auction site for $9.59. When I got it one saddle and 2 tuners were missing. I dug into my parts box and came up with a new set of saddles and the tuners from my Bullet. The pics from the Goodwill site made the neck look like maple, but in person it appears to be oak. Anyway, I got it because I travel from Denver to Salt Lake City once or twice a week and I really want to learn to play. Hopefully this will help. Well, enough of my rambling, here are the pics.

With this being a mini guitar, does that mean that Pesky has to come up with a pic of a scantily clad little person?

It's 32" from the lower strap button to the tip of the headstock, but size doesn't matter, right?

As long as my wife doesn't know about the $30 shipping, everything's cool. There's alot of cool stuff on the Goodwill auction site and I just keep telling her it's for charity. Here's a link to the site. http://www.shopgoodwill.com/ I've seen some really nice vintage Fenders on there, too.

Nice little guitar you have there. I wonder what adventures you will have on the road with that guitar.

How's the neck width on those compare with a full size one?
I've got a project in mind to build a HHH mini strat, possibly a HHHH so the pickguard is full to capacity

I just measured it and it's 1.625 (1 5/8") at the nut and 2.220 (2 7/32") at the heel.

HNMGD! Great score! I'd love to have a mini-guitar myself.
How does it sound?

Actually, it sounds pretty good. I measured the resistance of the pickup when I took it apart to clean it up and it measured 6.78K ohms. It sounds good clean and dirty. Now I just need to learn how to play "Little Guitars" by Van Halen.
