Default Second Strat recording

I've already posted this over on Strat-Talk but after 81 listens and one comment thought I'd bring it over here. As I've already said elsewhere, this is my first Strat after years of LP's, Ibanez, Tokai's and my #1 guitar of the last 10 years, my Peavey Wolfgang, so there's still a bit of a learning curve going on with this baby.

This is an original piece, written and recorded on my first Strat - Squier Deluxe. The song is supposed to be called "How Can You Love Me (When You're In Your Lover's Arms?) but not only is that title too long for a post here, it's also too long for SoundClick .

All parts played & arranged by me. Drums are Addictive Drums, the Bass parts and all guitars except the last overdriven solo are done on the Squier (yes, it's this guitar doing the basslines). Final solo done on my Agile AL2k Gold Top. And yes, I know there are some bum notes in there. I'll almost certainly re-record some of the leads, I just wanted to get this done while the inspiration was flowing with the new guitar. Hopefully there'll be a vocal track on this at some point but I've got no means to record them at the moment and I'm not a very good singer anyway...

The end of the track might seem a little meandering but I did this after Dio's death and although this track is nothing to do with that, the last part is intended to be my tip of the hat to the ending of one of my favourite Dio/Sabbath songs, Die Young.

How Can You Love Me (When You're In Your Lover's Arms?)

Thanks for listening

sounds good to me. no need to add any vocals. some songs say enough with just the music and this sounds to me like this could be one of those. keep up the great work and enjoy and have fun with it.

Thanks for taking the time to listen guys, it's much appreciated! Despite playing for a long time, there still seems to be a bit of a learning curve with Strats (they're far more unforgiving than humbucker-equipped axes aren't they?) so I'm glad this sounds ok

Thanks for the comments, I'm flattered! Yeah, I really need to get some vocals done but don't have any means to record any at the moment. I haven't even got lyrics down yet
