Should go in the mail tomorrow.
I am leaving a new set of tuners on it. Decent quality neck with a Strat shaped headstock, 22 frets, and a Strat shaped heel cut so it should fit most strat shaped bodies out there.
If there is anything else you need for the build, post it. I am sure lots of us have extra parts.
He is putting together a partscaster for his daughter.
Had pix but I am getting a security error from the site.

What other parts are you looking for, Jerry?
I think I can hook you up with a loaded pickguard if you need it.
That was very cool of you, Chuck It makes me proud to be a Zook!

I had a boat for a few years that was docked at the Harrison Marina. Lived between St. Maries and Harrison and the last couple years in Hayden. I was involved with several boards and political stuff. I was a member and chairman of the SM school district for several years. No relation to the Zook that is a car dealer in Wallace and CDA. I saw the name in the phone book with a PF address. Used to eat at a small Greek place in PF called the Whitehouse (I think). I had several cell and sat tv stores in the area (SM. PF, Spokane, Liberty Lake, and CDA), and I was in the wholesale Nursery/Landscape for years. I sold the trees to and landscaped the CDA resort golf course, including the floating green. I used to meet D. Hagadone on Sundays to ride with him and his dog in a golf cart to inspect the work and progress at the golf course.
In Hayden we lived near the Rustlers Roost and ate breakfast there alot. Rev Butler used to frequent the place a lot before they lost the compound.
We are from MO, but I followed a business opportunity and moved to SM in 84 to sell and grow trees for markets in Colorado, Utah, ID, MT, WY and SD. Traveled a lot to all those states over the years.
We loved Idaho, but the kids grew up and moved away for school and jobs, so we moved back home to MO in 2001.

I have an extra never-before-opened Strat GraphTech XL Nut, simulated bone, impregnated with teflon throughout, thus permanently lubricated. Best Strat nuts in the World IMO. Plus it is pre-slotted, and beautifully slotted, at that.
Like the other guy, if you PM your address I drop it in mail tomorrow morning.
I tell everone these nuts are a simple drop-in and nobody belives it. I have 6 strats with them installed via "drop-in" followed by stringing it up. 2 small half-drops of wood glue in nut slot first, don't use any hardcore glues or it's too tough to rework later!
Friend of mine use "Gorilla Glue" once...that nut is molecularly bonded to that neck for all time, lol!
Cheers -Strad

So I got a PM back from motoman45, he says the nut would be cool.
One condition: No Spice Girls, Air Supply, Eddie Rabbit, Milli Vanilli or Sonny and Cher songs on this build. Is that a deal, motoman45?
Sign here, motoman45_______or NO NUT. My rule is, "no nuts go out to no NUTS .
So I'll drop her at post office on my way to teaching tomorrow.
Should easily get there by Saturday- good luck and like the other have said our payoff is PICS when yer dun!
Cheers, -Strad

plain headstock. I forget its history, but it was probably a neck I kept and sold the body to it. It is a real pretty neck but for some reason I cannot post pics, but it should be there thurs or Fri, so you can post the pix

By the way, this thread title "swallowing my pride" is not necessary, all guitar players should be proud folks no matter what the situation. Like that Australian virtuoso, his name escapes me now, said: "I am a short little guy with skinny arms and losing my hair, nobody notices me; but when I have a guitar in my hands I feel ten feet tall and I can rule the entire room, from any stage".
So, we are a proud people, guitar players. I added also an original Fender "simulated bone nut" pulled from a 2010 FSR (Factory Special Run) limited edition MIM Standard, this one-not just "any" nut, this is a sweet one-gotta scroll down for some sweet close-ups:
http://www.strat-talk.com/forum/stra...ard-strat.html
Also I threw in 3 cheapo (but darn good really) plastic nuts pulled from 2010 Squier Bullet-Strats, they are actually really good nuts, for what they are. perfectly slotted and ready to drop in. Careful with that glue so when you saw through one with the strings you can replace it...
The thing that makes that Graphtech XL teflon impregnated simulated bone nut so unbeatable is that teflon- no "nut butter" or "nut lube" needed. EVER. However, that sim bone nut from the FSR is awesome and may actually be a better immediate fit right out of the gate since it was already fitted to a guitar perfectly by Fender.
I'd put that one on first and save the Graphtech for later when you have the cash for a good tech to tweak it; I NEVER had to tweak the six I installed, but that is ONLY because I play with insane high action, higher than SRV and same height as malmsteen. Lower ("normal/Fender spec") action levels I am told may require that a tech get their hands on the Graphtech. Not my experience, but guys here swear it's true. The FSR nut IS a drop-in, as are the cheap but decent Bullet nuts because as I said they have already seen action on the front lines, installed, etc. But LIKE NEW. All of 'em that I am sending.
Warning: try to tweak the Graphtech yourself? Remember: A tech can always REMOVE excess material from a nut...it's ADDING where you took off just a hair too much that is not going to happen. Words of wisdom.
Anyway with what I am sending you you'll be able to load up that nut-slot immediately with ONE of those suckers with zero tweaks at all, and better crank it to "11"- no mercy for the neighbors. Rock 'n roll, people- Rock 'n roll! If they want quiet tell them to move to the south of France, but this is rock 'n roll Country, love it or leave it !

you've got to be kidding me. there's nothing special about the plastic nuts that come on fenders from the factory.

I might have one, but it's from a 2 point trem, so I'd have no idea if it'd fit. What guitar is it going one? (Where's the block from)?

motoman45,
I apologize for not sending an arm with the tremolo but the "parts" guitars that I buy rarely have them.
